One in three of us will get cancer and it’s the toughest thing most of us will ever face. If you’ve been diagnosed with cancer, or a loved one has, you’ll want a team of people in your corner supporting you every step of the way. This week I had the honour of working alongside senior practitioners from Macmillan Cancer Support who offer such a service across Perth and Kinross in Scotland. The true impact of the time and support these compassionate and dedicated nurses offer is difficult to measure, even if we are to consider the numbers of individuals lives touched by their care and expertise.
